Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to immediate post-anesthesia and post-procedure patients, conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' physiological status, administer medications, and intervene during emergencies to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, act as a patient advocate, and revise care plans based on evaluation to facilitate safe discharge.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years' Critical Care nursing experience.
• Proficiency in managing clinical skills, including symptom identification, disease management, treatment modalities, and medication administration.
• Ability to monitor and intervene to improve respiratory and circulatory function, maintaining physiological homeostasis during the post-anesthesia period.
• Competency in crisis intervention, infection control, and addressing psychosocial needs.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current NY State RN License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Position Details:

• Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Pay Range: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour
• Standard Shift: Wed - Fri 11a - 11p
